We sad a bald eagle, seals playing and basking in the sun on the rocks, many light houses, pulled up lobster traps to find 6 in them, caught a mackerel, 3 pollock, a stripped bass, and all in just 3 hours. On top of that Captain John and his lovely wife were so kind they let my son drive the boat for a bit. Wow what a perfect adventure. Oh and they had great knowledge of the islands and area on top of it all. I highly recommend them!!!!!

  Casco Bay Adventures was AWESOME! I found their website after a quick Google search when I was looking for a last minute activity for four middle school aged boys on... read more a perfect Maine summer day. I sent a google form on the website and asked what availability they had THAT day and within twenty minutes I received a call from Captain John. He explained what time he had and an hour later we were all on his boat departing from Spring Point Marina. He was a warm, friendly, knowledgable, low-key, easy-going guy who made the experience both fun and relaxed. John had nuggets of trivia and information to engage the boys. He showed each boy how to operate a fishing rod and we spent timing fishing. I have so many pictures of smiling and laughing boys with beautiful Portland Headlight and all of Casco Bay in the background. Captain John was engaged the entire time, helping and giving advice and pointers. We fished in a couple spots and then went to lobster. He taught the kids about how to identify the gender, how to measure and determine if the lobster was a "keepah." I would highly recommend reaching out to Captain John and his team at Casco Bay Adventures for a run boat adventure in Casco Bay and we surely will be doing that again with our next family visitors!

The tour packs a lot into a short amount of time with minimal travel time between stops. The boat I is comfortable and the launch point is convenient to town. The whole thing was very well done.
