We went on the family adventure charter as an... read more early Father’s Day gift for my husband and my Dad. It was amazing. We sad a bald eagle, seals playing and basking in the sun on the rocks, many light houses, pulled up lobster traps to find 6 in them, caught a mackerel, 3 pollock, a stripped bass, and all in just 3 hours. On top of that Captain John and his lovely wife were so kind they let my son drive the boat for a bit. Wow what a perfect adventure. Oh and they had great knowledge of the islands and area on top of it all. I highly recommend them!!!!!

  We had an absolutely fantastic time on Captain John’s boat this week. We were looking for a quick two hour tour hitting the highlights of Casco Bay and Portland Harbor... read more and Capt. John delivered: nice little tour of the harbor with some WWII history about the different forts, views of two lighthouses, mackerel fishing, and lobstering. Capt. John kept our three teenage sons engaged as he allowed them to hook and he pulled and measured the eight (!?!) lobsters from the traps. We were also fortunate enough to stumble on a group of porpoises and then swung over to seal rock for some additional entertainment. We couldn’t have asked for a better day, trip and guide to experience Portland’s Harbor.

He is... read more extraordinarily knowledgeable and it was a privilege and pleasure to learn so much about Casco Bay and the land that touches it. Everyone had a different favorite part to the day and that was pretty magical. Even 10-month old Hunky who loved it when we accelerated 🙂
I recommend Casco Bay Adventures without reservation and look forward to the next time I will charter their excellent tours.

Capt John makes the trip by providing fun, info and local knowledge. Great location near Portland and great boat!
