Took a nice trip out to the lighthouse and the dropped poles into the water to catch Mackerel! After we had some bait in the boat we headed over to House island to try and catch Striper, we got a couple bumps but nothing on the line, but had a good time trying with a nice cool breeze.

We stowed the fishing gear and suited up to handle the lobster traps, checked a couple and came away with a keeper lobster. Great teaching moment on how Maine manages the lobster population.

We headed back in to the dock to band the lobster claws and then called it a good day with Capt. John

They caught fish, pulled lobster traps, saw seals in the water, plenty of history and beautiful sights! I would highly recommend spending some time out on Beautiful Casco Bay. We went on the family adventure charter as an... read more early Father’s Day gift for my husband and my Dad. It was amazing. We sad a bald eagle, seals playing and basking in the sun on the rocks, many light houses, pulled up lobster traps to find 6 in them, caught a mackerel, 3 pollock, a stripped bass, and all in just 3 hours. On top of that Captain John and his lovely wife were so kind they let my son drive the boat for a bit. Wow what a perfect adventure. Oh and they had great knowledge of the islands and area on top of it all. I highly recommend them!!!!!
