This was the best part of our trip. Definitely book with them if you want a fun and interactive experience!

They also went fishing, saw an island full of seals, pretended to drive the boat, and went swimming. He answered tons of questions I had about the Casco Bay Islands, and took us to see some of the further places like Cliff Island, and some neighboring islands. I highly recommend them, great fun for all ages!

We got lucky and had a break in the rain for the trip. We saw lighthouses, eagles, seals and more. We learned some of the history of Portland and got to see the small islands in Casco Bay. Capt Bill even showed my 13 yo how to drive the boat and let my 20 yo son pull in a lobster trap. We are so glad we went even if it was a little cold. I highly recommend choosing this trip!

  Casco Bay Adventures was AWESOME! I found their website after a quick Google search when I was looking for a last minute activity for four middle school aged boys on... read more a perfect Maine summer day. I sent a google form on the website and asked what availability they had THAT day and within twenty minutes I received a call from Captain John. He explained what time he had and an hour later we were all on his boat departing from Spring Point Marina. He was a warm, friendly, knowledgable, low-key, easy-going guy who made the experience both fun and relaxed. John had nuggets of trivia and information to engage the boys. He showed each boy how to operate a fishing rod and we spent timing fishing. I have so many pictures of smiling and laughing boys with beautiful Portland Headlight and all of Casco Bay in the background. Captain John was engaged the entire time, helping and giving advice and pointers. We fished in a couple spots and then went to lobster. He taught the kids about how to identify the gender, how to measure and determine if the lobster was a "keepah." I would highly recommend reaching out to Captain John and his team at Casco Bay Adventures for a run boat adventure in Casco Bay and we surely will be doing that again with our next family visitors!

  Wife and I booked a cruise through Casco Bay Adventures. Captain John took us around the bay for a couple hours and showed us all the interesting points from... read more nature to historical references of WW II. We also were dropped off to enjoy a dinner at Peaks Island while the Captain waited for us to finish dinner while the sun was beginning to set. We ventured out to also pull up a trap from lobster fishing and learned about the trade and conservation. When we were almost done, we stopped at the light tower for a great picture moment before travelling back to port. Captain John was a wonderful and informative host. If you desire this activity, Casco Bay Adventures should be your only stop. Enjoy! This trip would also be great for kids to see the seals and other marine life as well as lobsters.

The tour packs a lot into a short amount of time with minimal travel time between stops. The boat I is comfortable and the launch point is convenient to town. The whole thing was very well done.
