  What a great day! 4 hours with Capt John for a birthday celebration with 5 boys, 22 years old. Two of the boys had never been on a boat on... read more the ocean, What! We left the marina and headed out between Peaks and the Diamond Islands into Hussey sound. Mackerel was the first fish to catch then we went on to Stripah's! Everyone on the boat caught at least one striper and or mackerel.
Everyone was thrilled and would like to do it again!
I will book again in July for fishing and tour with the family.

We saw light houses, forts, lobster traps, and islands in the bay. My family of 6 went on the tour. It was so much more personal than one of the bigger (crowded) sight seeing tours. It was well worth the time and money!

  We turned our two hour cruise into three since we were having a good time. The weather was perfect and Captain John was willing to modify the tour to our... read more interests.Great local history lesson as we exited the marina.

Took a nice trip out to the lighthouse and the dropped poles into the water to catch Mackerel! After we had some bait in the boat we headed over to House island to try and catch Striper, we got a couple bumps but nothing on the line, but had a good time trying with a nice cool breeze.

We stowed the fishing gear and suited up to handle the lobster traps, checked a couple and came away with a keeper lobster. Great teaching moment on how Maine manages the lobster population.

We headed back in to the dock to band the lobster claws and then called it a good day with Capt. John

  This is our 3rd time in 3 summers going out on the boat with Captain John and Casco Bay Adventures. It's a highlight of our summer. This is highly... read more recommended if you have little kids (or big kids). We took our son at 1, 2 and now 3 and we have had an awesome time. We went fishing, went lobstering, went around Peak's island among other activities. Captain John is patient and engaging for the kids and we just love doing this.
