Captain John picked us up on Peaks Island where we were staying for the week, which made the... read more trip super convenient! The 2 hour “Family Adventure” was the perfect mix of touring the islands of the bay, learning more about them and their history as well as actively fishing in the bay. My kids loved being able to catch fish and had a fun time releasing them at the end as well. We also had the opportunity to help haul in lobster traps during the tour and learned much about lobstering! Our outing with Casco Bay Adventures was definitely a highlight of our trip!

  We had an absolutely fantastic time on Captain John’s boat this week. We were looking for a quick two hour tour hitting the highlights of Casco Bay and Portland Harbor... read more and Capt. John delivered: nice little tour of the harbor with some WWII history about the different forts, views of two lighthouses, mackerel fishing, and lobstering. Capt. John kept our three teenage sons engaged as he allowed them to hook and he pulled and measured the eight (!?!) lobsters from the traps. We were also fortunate enough to stumble on a group of porpoises and then swung over to seal rock for some additional entertainment. We couldn’t have asked for a better day, trip and guide to experience Portland’s Harbor.
